4 Lies is a film about growing up in America in the sixties and beyond. Using a unique blend of flashback footage, “flash forward” footage and live action drama, it tells the story of a man in his mid-thirties, whose 10-year-old self appears, and comments on his adult life, set in 1989 New York.

As the story progresses, the adult questions certain values he unknowingly acquired while growing up in America, involving career, love, and the choices one makes. In the end, the child is father to the man, who evolves into a more authentic person.
